Telaah Naratif Terhadap Narasi Ribka Dipinang Ishak Dalam Kejadian 24:10-61: Sebuah Interpretasi “Childist”

Abstract


Penerapan interpretasi childist terhadap narasi Alkitab akan memberikan hembusan nafas segar terhadap cara pandang terhadap tokoh-tokoh anak yang selama ini dipandang tidak sebagai anak tetapi sebagai kebanyakan tokoh lainnya. Interpretasi childist menempatkan anak sebagai pusat perhatian dan secara kritis melakukan konstruksi terhadap anak di Alkitab dan membaca teks Alkitab untuk memperhatikan kembali peran dan arti penting anak. Dalam menerapkan interpretasi ini dan menonjolkan anak, kesetiaan terhadap pesan utama narasi Alkitab harus tetap menjadi pertimbangan utama. Narasi Ribka dipinang Ishak dalam Kejadian 24:10-61, dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu contoh penerapan interpretasi ini. Melaluinya dan dengan penerapan telaah naratif akan dapat diketahui bahwa anak-anak pada jaman itu sudah memiliki karakteristik yang unggul yang hanya akan terlihat jika interpretasi ini diterapkan untuk membacanya.
