ABSTRACT

This paper delves into the concept of love for others as presented in the Gospel of Luke 10:25-37 and its relevance to Foundations. The study aims to explore the theological and practical implications of the concept of love for others in Luke 10:25-37 and draw its relevance to Foundations. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the researcher serves as the primary instrument for data collection and analysis. Data is gathered through a review of relevant literature and journals related to the article's title, coupled with a theological analysis of Luke 10:25-37. The research indicates that genuine love, exemplified by the actions of the Samaritan, is essential in the practice of Christian life. In this context, theological analysis emphasizes the significance of integrating knowledge with action, highlighting the role of active engagement in thought and behavior. Findings and discussions reveal that the concept of love for others in Luke's Gospel underscores the importance of love as the foundation for compassionate actions toward others. The parable of the generous Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37 portrays the motif of love manifested through sincere and selfless practices, serving as a theological construct to underpin its relevance in Foundations. As a non-profit organization with a social, religious, and humanitarian orientation, such a concept of love becomes highly relevant as a core value that can drive the achievement of its non-profit objectives.
