Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami persepsi perintis gereja terhadap tanda ajaib dan mujizat dalam konteks perintisan gereja di kota, yang tercermin dari narasi Filipus dalam Kisah Para Rasul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara terstruktur sebagai sumber data primer. Data dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Nvivo untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa persepsi perintis gereja terhadap tanda ajaib dan mujizat memainkan peran penting dalam pertumbuhan dan pengembangan gereja, dimana mereka menganggap tanda ajaib dan mujizat sebagai manifestasi langsung dari kuasa Allah yang memvalidasi pemberitaan Injil dan doa, bukan hanya menarik minat orang untuk mendengarkan pesan Injil, tetapi juga menguatkan iman.

Abstract

This research aims to understand churh planter’s perceptions of signs and wonders in the context of churh planting in urban areas, as reflected in the narrative of Philip in the the books of Acts of Apostles. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study collected data through structured interviews as the primary data source. Data were analyzed using Nvivo software to identify major themes. The main findings indicate that church planter’s perceptions of signs and wonders play a significant role in the growth and development of churches. They view  signs and wonders as direct manifestations of God’s power that validate the preaching of the Gospel and prayer, not only attracting people to listen the Gospel message but also strengthening faith.
